How it works

KilowattIQ helps you understand your home energy use and backup options in four steps:

Identify your loads — Tell us your monthly bill and which appliances and systems you have (AC, pool, EV, etc.).
Estimate monthly kWh — We use your inputs to estimate how much energy you use and what drives your bill.
Size backup power — If backup matters to you, we suggest rough generator or battery sizes for essentials vs whole-home.
Compare options — See results and recommendations so you can compare approaches and talk to installers with confidence.

All results are estimates. For final sizing and permits, work with a licensed electrician or installer.
